Here is a picture of Brian Chandler with the 19lb Common Carp that he caught at his local waters, Hendre Lake Park, St Mellons, Cardiff, Wales.
It was caught using surface fishing methods, with a 15lb main line an inline bubble float leading to an approximately 4ft hook length, tipped with a size 10 hook and a hair rig. Using a new grange 10mm pop up, with a scattering of dog mixers as a free offering to entice them in. It was the second of two fish that I caught that day, the first one being another common about 8lb or 9lb
